Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled System Test Engineer – 5G RAN / ORAN Testing with strong expertise in End-to-End RAN Testing, ORAN integration, NGC/Core validation, protocol stack testing, and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 5G SA/NSA testing environments, log analysis, debugging, and telecom protocol validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform End-to-End 5G RAN and ORAN testing & validation
- Execute system, integration, regression, interoperability, and feature testing
- Validate 5G NR protocol stack layers: PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, NAS
- Work on Core Network & NGC testing activities
- Perform RU/DU/CU integration and ORAN interface testing
- Handle Fronthaul and RRU related validation/testing
- Analyze logs using QXDM, Wireshark, TM500, and Amarisoft simulators
- Develop automation scripts using Python & Linux Shell scripting
- Troubleshoot issues, perform RCA, and support debugging activities
- Prepare detailed test reports and technical documentation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in 5G RAN / ORAN Testing
- Strong experience in E2E RAN Testing and 5G SA/NSA validation
- Good understanding of NGC/Core network testing
- Strong knowledge of 5G NR protocols and call flow analysis
- Hands-on experience with QXDM, TM500, Amarisoft, and Wireshark
- Experience in Fronthaul and RRU related testing
- Strong scripting skills in Python & Linux Shell
- Good understanding of TCP/IP and telecom networking concepts
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, OpenStack, and Ansible
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and UE simulators
- Familiarity with ORAN tools and 5G Core components (AMF, SMF, UPF)
