Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and GD&T.
Assemble heavy oil expeller machines as per drawings from the component stage to final assembly.
Ensure all components are fitted in the correct sequence and orientation.
Verify dimensional accuracy at each stage of assembly.
Fit bearings with correct interference or clearance fits.
Check and maintain shaft tolerances as per drawing specifications.
Use press fitting, heating, or other correct methods for bearing installation.
Verify bearing clearances after fitting using feeler gauges and dial gauges.
Perform shaft alignment using dial test indicators and laser alignment equipment.
Check runout, concentricity, and parallelism of rotating parts.
Align gearbox, couplings, drive shafts, and pulleys correctly.
Perform final checks on the worm shaft, main shaft, cage assembly, and screw flights of the expeller.
Inspect all incoming machined components before assembly.
Identify and reject out-of-tolerance parts before they go into assembly.
Maintain assembly records and inspection checklists.
Ensure all fasteners are tightened to correct torque specifications.
