Job Summary
Kinder Hospital Kollam Randam Kutti is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Laboratory Incharge to lead the Laboratory Department. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient laboratory operations, maintaining quality standards, supervising laboratory personnel, and ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic services while complying with NABH and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Laboratory Department.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate the performance of laboratory technicians and support staff.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable processing of laboratory investigations.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control practices, and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Monitor calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with consultants, clinicians, nursing, and other departments for efficient patient care.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, documentation, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure proper inventory management of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely procurement of laboratory materials.
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Investigate and resolve laboratory-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare departmental reports and submit them to the management as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. MLT / DMLT / M.Sc. MLT or an equivalent qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Registration with the appropriate statutory authority (if applicable).
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a hospital laboratory.
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience as a Laboratory Incharge, Senior Laboratory Technologist, or similar role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory operations and quality management systems.
- Thorough understanding of NABH standards and laboratory accreditation requirements.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
