We are actively building our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube through short- and long-form educational content — and we're growing fast.

## Role Overview
We're looking for a proactive, organised Social Media & Video Assistant who can take our raw content and turn it into a consistent, high-quality publishing machine. This is not a passive execution role — we need someone who will own the schedule, chase deadlines, and hold the founder accountable when life gets busy.

## What You'll Do
**Video Editing**
- Edit short-form reels (60–90 sec) for Instagram, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts from screen-recorded or camera-recorded source footage
- Edit longer explainer or walkthrough videos (5–15 min) for YouTube
- Apply clean, consistent formatting: captions/subtitles, b-roll if needed, on-brand lower thirds or text overlays
- Basic audio cleanup (reduce background noise, hiss, pencil-on-screen sound) — no heavy post-production required, just clean and watchable
- Maintain a consistent visual style across all platforms
**Content Planning & Scheduling**
- Maintain a rolling 2–4 week content calendar
- Schedule posts across Instagram, Facebook (Meta Business Suite), and YouTube at optimal times
- Track what has been filmed, edited, reviewed, and published in a shared tracker (Google Sheets)
- Flag gaps in the pipeline early so content never runs dry
**Accountability & Communication**
- Proactively follow up with the founder to ensure raw footage is submitted on time
- Send weekly check-ins: what's edited, what's pending, what needs to be filmed
- Flag if the weekly publishing target is at risk — don't wait to be asked
- Keep the founder out of the weeds while keeping output consistent
**Light Analytics (Weekly)**
- Pull a brief weekly summary: views, reach, follower growth, top-performing reel
- Surface any patterns worth acting on (what topics or formats performed best)

## You're a Great Fit If You…
- Have edited short-form educational or talking-head content before (portfolio required)
- Are highly self-directed and don't need to be micromanaged
- Communicate clearly and consistently — no radio silence
- Understand how Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels differ in format and audience behaviour
- Are comfortable with tools like CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe Premiere for editing, and Canva for thumbnails/graphics
- Can work across time zones if needed (founder is India-based, audience is US-based)
- Have a genuine interest in education content — math, test prep, or academic subjects is a bonus

- Experience with Meta Business Suite and YouTube Studio
- Familiarity with Calendly or similar booking tools (for CTA alignment)
- Basic graphic design for thumbnail creation
- Experience growing a creator or educator account from scratch
