Job Purpose
To lead and expand the company's government and institutional business across India by driving strategic sales initiatives, managing tender participation, building strong relationships with government stakeholders, and achieving revenue targets through Central and State Government procurement channels.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
1. Government Business Development
- Identify and develop new government business opportunities across India.
- Increase participation in government tenders and procurement programs.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers in government institutions.
2. Tender & Institutional Sales Management
- Monitor and track all relevant tenders.
- Coordinate with internal teams for tender submissions and compliance.
- Drive institutional sales growth through government channels.
3. Strategic Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with government departments, hospitals, medical colleges, and public healthcare organizations.
- Represent the company at government meetings, conferences, and industry forums.
4. Revenue Generation
- Achieve assigned sales targets from government and institutional business.
- Develop annual and quarterly business plans for the government segment.
5. Market Intelligence
- Track government healthcare initiatives, policy changes, and upcoming procurement opportunities.
- Provide regular business intelligence reports to management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Healthcare, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Government Sales, Institutional Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience in Medical Devices, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Healthcare Technology, or related industries.
- Strong network within Central Government, State Government, ESIC, CGHS, Defence, Railways, Medical Colleges, and Government Hospitals.
- In-depth understanding of government procurement procedures, tendering processes, and GeM portal operations.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business planning, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
