Responsibilities and Duties
As a Senior Engineer at CEC, you will:
- Execute design and development of customized engineering systems, including 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, layouts, BOMs, and documentation based on client requirements.
- Apply strong engineering judgement while making design decisions.
- Review drawings, models, and technical outputs prepared by junior engineers to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and quality.
- Guide and mentor junior design engineers in engineering fundamentals, CAD practices, documentation standards, and project execution methods.
- Break down project requirements into tasks, assign work to junior team members, and track progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, clarify technical points, share updates, close issues, and maintain project documentation including MOMs, design notes, and revision records.
- Travel to client locations, if required, for requirement gathering, site measurements, implementation, troubleshooting, or project support.
- Take ownership of projects from requirement to delivery, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and delays, and escalating them with solutions.
- Guide customers towards practical, manufacturable, and technically sound engineering solutions.
This role is suited for engineers who are ready to move beyond individual CAD/design work and take responsibility for project execution, junior team guidance, and client coordination.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product design, machine design, industrial design, manufacturing design.
- Mandatory Skills:
- Strong understanding of design concepts, engineering fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD, along with the ability to prepare and review drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Good engineering judgement with the ability to identify design issues, manufacturability concerns, and execution risks.
- Ability to guide junior engineers, review their work, and ensure quality and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills, including client interaction and timeline management.
- Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience in design for manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment.
- Prior experience handling design projects, coordinating with junior engineers, and client-facing work.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, perform basic engineering calculations, and support project execution.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
