Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CNC programs for VMC machines using CAD/CAM software and G-code.
- Study engineering drawings, customer specifications, and process requirements before programming.
- Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for efficient production.
- Conduct prove-outs of new programs and make necessary modifications to achieve accurate machining.
- Reduce cycle time and improve machining efficiency without compromising product quality.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues during production.
- Support machine operators and setup technicians during production runs.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
- Maintain program backups, setup sheets, tooling lists, and process documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Planning departments for new product development and process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior programmers and machine operators on programming and machining best practices.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in CNC/VMC programming.
- Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, CAD/CAM software, tooling selection, and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
- Experience in optimizing machining cycles and improving production efficiency.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-axis VMC machining.
- Knowledge of fixture design and process planning.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
