Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated welfare officer cum trainer with a strong foundation in labor law, grievance redressal mechanisms, and training facilitation. This role requires expertise in engaging with factory committees, internal and external stakeholders, and addressing workers' grievances to drive meaningful change. The ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of training sessions, facilitate grievance resolution, and advocate for workers' rights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Facilitation:
- Design and deliver workshops on labor law, grievance redressal, health, and safety, tailored to workers, committee members, and management.
- Develop training materials and lead activity-based sessions that enhance participants’ knowledge and skills.
- Labor Law & Compliance:
- Provide guidance on labor law compliance, with a particular focus on grievance redressal mechanisms and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct assessments to identify legal compliance gaps and work collaboratively to implement corrective actions.
- Grievance Redressal Support:
- Assist in establishing and strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms within factories.
- Facilitate discussions and mediate grievances raised by workers, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
- Collaborate with internal and external committees to address workplace issues and uphold workers' rights.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with factory management, committee representatives, and trade unions to foster a supportive environment for workers.
- Regularly liaise with clients, including brands, suppliers, and NGO partners, to report progress and address concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Labor Studies, Human Resources, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor law, grievance handling, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training sessions.
- Knowledge of Indian labor laws, grievance redressal mechanisms, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to advocating for workers' rights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the textile or manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with supply chain compliance and social audits.
- Proficiency in regional languages (e.g., Tamil, Hindi) is a plus.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
