Job Summary
The Production Controller is responsible for overseeing and controlling the overall production activities of the company. The position is senior to Production Supervisors and is responsible for monitoring production performance, coordinating between departments, ensuring timely completion of jobs, and maintaining productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the overall daily production activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of all Production Supervisors.
- Allocate production priorities and ensure jobs are completed as per the production schedule.
- Monitor production targets, job progress, and machine/work status.
- Coordinate with Planning, Design, Stores, Purchase, QC, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure production schedules are followed and identify delays at an early stage.
- Take necessary corrective action to minimize production delays, wastage, and rework.
- Monitor manpower utilization and ensure proper deployment of workers.
- Review the performance and productivity of Production Supervisors and production teams.
- Ensure proper coordination between different production sections.
- Monitor processes such as Printing, Lamination, UV, Foiling, Die Cutting, Punching, Stripping, Pasting, and other related operations.
- Ensure production is carried out according to approved specifications and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the QC team to minimize quality issues and customer complaints.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with Stores/Purchase to avoid production stoppages.
- Coordinate with Maintenance regarding machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Follow up on urgent and priority jobs and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain and review daily production reports, pending job reports, and production performance reports.
- Report major production issues, delays, wastage, manpower shortages, and other concerns to Management.
- Ensure discipline, safety, cleanliness, and proper working practices within the production area.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce wastage, and improve production efficiency.
- Implement production-related instructions and decisions given by Management.
- Perform any other production-related duties assigned by Management.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Printing Technology, Production, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in printing and packaging production.
- Strong practical knowledge of printing and packaging production processes.
- Previous experience handling or coordinating multiple production sections is preferred.
- Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to prepare production reports.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
