Qualification: BAMS / BHMS

Experience: 0–3 Years (Hospital experience preferred)
Reporting To: Consultant Gynaecologist / Medical Superintendent
Location: Women & Children Hospital
Shift: Rotational (Day/Night) 3PM TO 9AM PREFFERED.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Duty Medical Officer (DMO) for the Gynaecology department to provide quality patient care and support consultants in managing OPD, IPD, Labour Room, and emergency services. The candidate should ensure smooth patient management and maintain medical documentation. BAMS/BHMS candidates are commonly considered in gynaecology DMO roles in some hospitals and may assist in patient assessment, inpatient care, and consultant support under supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform initial assessment and history taking of gynaecology and obstetrics patients.
- Monitor and manage admitted patients in IPD.
- Record and monitor patient vitals and clinical status.
- Assist consultants during patient rounds.
- Support in Labour Room activities and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for patient care.
- Attend gynaecological and obstetric emergencies and stabilize patients before consultant review.
- Assist during procedures and minor interventions as per hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records.
- Prepare discharge summaries and progress notes.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatment plans and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure implementation of consultant orders and treatment plans.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and quality standards.
- Participate in shift handovers and clinical meetings. These responsibilities align with common DMO and gynaecology support duties in hospital settings.

- Salary: As per experience and hospital standards.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
