We are looking for a Lead - Graphic Designer to define the visual identity of this brand and make it live everywhere it shows up: the pack in your hand, the website, the ad in the feed, the deck in the room. You will be our founding designer, working directly with the Head of Brand and shaping how millions of Americans see and come to trust the brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand & Visual Identity
- Define the brand’s visual language from the ground up: typography, colour, layout, imagery, iconography, motion and graphic devices that add up to one distinctive, coherent system
- Translate brand strategy and positioning into visual communication that is immediately understandable and unmistakably ours
- Build the templates, components and guidelines that let the brand scale across hundreds of assets without losing consistency, and know when the system itself needs to evolve
- Develop campaign and communication concepts, not just individual assets
Performance & Social Creative
- Design statics and motion-led ad creative for paid social, built hook-first and iterated weekly against performance signals
- Design marketplace assets: listing images, A+ content and storefront visuals that convert without flattening the brand
- Create landing pages, social content, presentations and sales collateral that all feel like they belong to the same company
- Design for performance without letting performance requirements flatten the brand
WHO YOU ARE
- A problem solver before an executor. Given a vague brief, you ask what we are actually solving, for whom, and what the simplest solution could be. You don’t need to be told exactly what to make
- Opinionated but not precious. You have a point of view and can explain why one direction is stronger, aesthetically and strategically, and you change your mind when users, data or a better idea says so
- Highly iterative. You explore, prototype, kill ideas quickly and show work early. You are fast without being careless, because 01 requires speed, but never at the cost of hierarchy or craft
- A systems thinker. You design for what happens at 50 screens and 500 assets, not one beautiful screen. You naturally build patterns, components and rules that make the team faster
- Comfortable with ambiguity. Wide briefs, changing priorities and ambiguous problems without a playbook energies you. You like to have autonomy to create the path, and you care about the details
- An owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, not assigned tasks. You seek context, understand the business, and can handle iterations
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
This is not a production-only graphic design role. You will not spend your days resizing assets from templates, and here does not mean making wireframes after someone else has made every product decision. You will be the first designer on the brand, the pace is a daily shipping cadence, and some work you love will go through iterations. In exchange, you get to define how a brand looks for millions of customers, with an ownership level that very few design roles offer. We want someone who can help us answer not just “what should this look like?” but “what should this be?”
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 4+ years across graphic, brand and digital
- Portfolio is essential, and it should demonstrate thinking as well as output: the problem, your approach, iterations and why you landed where you did
- Portfolio should show brand identity or visual-system work, and performance ad creative
- Experience with consumer brands, startups, agencies or fast-moving product environments is strongly preferred; building a brand or product from ground up is a strong advantage
- Strong in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; motion and video tools are a plus
- AI-native: comfortable using generative image, video and design tools in daily production with your creative judgment intact
- Experience in health, wellness or US consumer markets is a plus
