Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist with strong expertise in Mathematical Optimization and Gurobi to design and implement optimization models for complex business problems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Linear Programming (LP), Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), Operations Research, and Python-based optimization solutions. Experience in supply chain optimization and AWS cloud services will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize mathematical models using Gurobi (gurobipy).
- Build optimization solutions for Supply Chain, Scheduling, Routing, and Resource Allocation problems.
- Formulate and solve Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) models.
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and analysis using Python, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Develop scalable optimization pipelines integrated with enterprise applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate real-world problems into optimization models.
- Automate model execution and workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Deploy optimization solutions on AWS using Lambda, AWS Batch, ECS Fargate, and Amazon SageMaker.
- Validate model performance and continuously improve solution quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams.
Required Skills
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Hands-on expertise with Gurobi (gurobipy).
- Strong knowledge of Operations Research and Mathematical Optimization.
- Experience with Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP).
- Proficiency in Pandas, NumPy, SQL, and data preprocessing techniques.
- Experience in Supply Chain Optimization, Scheduling, or Logistics Optimization.
- Good understanding of optimization algorithms and modeling techniques.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, ECS Fargate, Amazon SageMaker.
- Experience in workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data pipelines and MLOps practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Optimization, or Operations Research.
- Proven experience delivering optimization solutions in production environments.
