Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing machined components, fasteners, bearings, electrical items, raw materials, fabrication items, castings, forgings, and MRO items.
- Identify and communicate with new suppliers and vendors.
- Collect quotations from suppliers based on BOMs, drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
- Compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and payment terms.
- Follow up with suppliers for quotations, order confirmations, and material deliveries.
- Support the Purchase team in achieving cost-effective procurement.
2. Technical Coordination
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Stores departments to understand material requirements.
- Develop basic knowledge of machining, fabrication, casting, forging, welding, and other manufacturing processes.
- Clarify technical requirements with suppliers in coordination with the concerned engineering team.
- Assist in coordinating sample approvals and inspection requirements.
3. Purchase & Order Management
- Prepare and send RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers.
- Prepare quotation comparison statements and submit them for approval.
- Assist in preparing and processing Purchase Orders (POs).
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, supplier details, and delivery status.
- Coordinate with Stores and Accounts teams regarding material receipt and invoice-related issues.
4. Supplier Management
- Assist in identifying and developing reliable suppliers.
- Maintain good professional relationships with existing vendors.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding quality issues, delivery delays, shortages, and replacement of rejected materials.
- Maintain supplier performance records related to quality, cost, and delivery.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier documentation.
- Update purchase trackers, material status reports, and supplier databases.
- Assist in maintaining material price records for future reference.
- Prepare regular reports related to pending orders, deliveries, and procurement status.
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in /Mechatronics/ Electronics / Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Basic understanding of machining, fabrication, casting, forging, and raw materials.
- Knowledge of industrial components such as bearings, fasteners, gears, motors, electrical components, etc. is an advantage.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
