SRM Global Hospital, a premier multi-specialty healthcare institution in Chennai, is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant – Cardiac Anesthesia.
This role is ideal for a focused medical professional (0 to 5 years of experience) holding a PDCC or DM in Cardiac Anesthesia. You will be an integral part of our advanced cardiothoracic surgical team, managing perioperative anesthetic care for patients undergoing complex open-heart surgeries, vascular procedures, and critical post-operative recovery in the CTICU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perioperative Management: Provide expert anesthetic care for adult and/or pediatric cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valvular surgeries, congenital heart repairs, and vascular procedures.
- Advanced Monitoring: Demonstrate high proficiency in invasive monitoring lines (arterial, central venous, pulmonary artery catheters) and advanced hemodynamic tracking.
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE): Perform and interpret intraoperative TEE to guide surgical decisions and assess immediate post-repair results.
- CTICU Care: Manage critical post-operative care in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, including ventilator management, inotropic support, and pain management protocols.
- Emergency Response: Lead or assist in cardiac emergencies, resuscitations, and rapid-response scenarios within the cardiac care ecosystem.
- Quality & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to NABH quality standards, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: MD/DNB in Anesthesia followed by a PDCC (Post Doctoral Fellowship) or DM in Cardiac Anesthesia from an NMC-recognized institution.
- Experience: 0 to 5 years (Fresh post-graduates with strong clinical/fellowship ground are highly encouraged to apply).
- Registration: Valid registration with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council (or National Medical Commission).
- Skills: Solid understanding of cardiac physiology, adept manual skills for invasive lines, and the ability to maintain composure and quick decision-making in high-pressure environments.
Pay: ₹160,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
