Job Summary
The Unit Manager is responsible for the overall operations, sales performance, customer satisfaction, inventory management, staff supervision, and profitability of the outlet. The role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of the sweets, savouries, and chaat retail unit while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee daily outlet operations and ensure smooth business functioning.
- Ensure availability of all sweets, savouries, chaat items, and related products.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures of the outlet.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with production and supply chain teams for timely stock replenishment.
Sales & Revenue Management
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Drive sales through product promotions, upselling, and customer engagement activities.
- Monitor daily sales performance and prepare reports.
- Identify opportunities to increase footfall and improve customer retention.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise outlet employees.
- Conduct staff scheduling and manpower planning.
- Train employees on customer service, product knowledge, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer experience at all times.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain a welcoming and service-oriented environment.
- Build strong relationships with regular customers.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize wastage.
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food products.
- Control pilferage and inventory discrepancies.
Cash & Financial Management
- Verify daily cash collections and billing transactions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures.
- Monitor outlet expenses and control operational costs.
- Maintain records and submit required MIS reports.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure food quality standards are maintained consistently.
- Follow FSSAI guidelines and company compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular cleanliness and hygiene inspections.
- Ensure workplace safety and adherence to statutory regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Technology, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in retail, food service, sweets, bakery, QSR, or restaurant operations.
- Prior experience managing a sweets and savouries outlet is preferred.
