Job Summary
V7 AI Solutions is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-2) to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, experience in automation testing, API testing, CI/CD, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
- Develop automation scripts using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Automate web applications using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or automated API frameworks.
- Validate backend services, databases, third-party integrations, and microservices.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, smoke, and E2E test suites.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and improve engineering quality standards.
- Improve automation coverage and testing processes.
- Support Shift-Left Testing practices.
- Contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing.
- Maintain automation reports, documentation, and quality metrics.
- Mentor junior QA/SDET engineers.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing, Automation Testing, or SDET.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of REST API testing.
- Experience with Postman and automated API testing.
- Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Experience testing backend services and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TypeScript and Playwright.
- Experience with React or Next.js applications.
- Experience testing Node.js or NestJS applications.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Experience with Docker.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
