About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Tea Tester to join our team in Siliguri. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating the quality, flavor, aroma, and consistency of daily tea pickings and manufactured teas. The role requires deep knowledge of tea tasting, blending standards, and quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct professional tea tasting and quality evaluation of daily tea pickings.
- Analyze liquor color, aroma, flavor, briskness, and leaf appearance.
- Maintain consistency in tea quality as per company standards.
- Identify defects, off-notes, and variations in tea batches.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams for quality improvement.
- Prepare tasting reports and maintain quality records.
- Assist in tea selection, grading, and blending processes.
- Monitor market quality trends and customer preferences.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Tea Tester in a Tea Company.
- Strong knowledge of tea varieties, manufacturing, and tasting techniques.
- Ability to accurately assess tea quality and maintain standards.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and quality-focused professional.
- Immediate joining preferred.
