Your role and responsibilities
ABB’s Automation business offers a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions and services for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software, machine automation technologies, as well as measurement and analytics solutions.
The Marketing Automation Specialist is a technical operations role responsible for marketing automation process governance, stakeholder consulting, and the design, optimization, and operational support of end-to-end automation capabilities across Salesforce and Account Engagement (Pardot), including campaign configuration, lead management, data architecture, system integrations, and automation logic. The role ensures scalable, accurate, and measurable execution of digital marketing and demand generation initiatives, delivering high-quality data flows, reliable tracking, and performance insights to support return on marketing investment (ROMI).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement marketing automation as a key enabler of targeted customer communications and lead generation to maximize marketing’s business impact. You will collaborate with a team to manage and deploy marketing automation platforms and tools, while taking a forward‑thinking approach to using AI and emerging technologies to continuously improve user experience, operational efficiency, and customer understanding and awareness. You will also showcase your experience by providing consultation on digital marketing integrated technologies and operational services, enabling data‑driven, intelligent execution of effective marketing and lead generation campaigns.

You will be accountable for:
Govern marketing automation processes and standards across Salesforce and Account Engagement, ensuring scalable, compliant, and consistent campaign execution.
Act as a technical consultant to stakeholders by advising on platform capabilities, process design, best practices, and solution options for digital marketing and lead management needs.
Architect and optimize end-to-end automation workflows, including segmentation logic, nurture streams, lead scoring, lifecycle transitions, routing rules, and campaign data architecture.
Provide technical operations support by managing integrations, troubleshooting sync and API-related issues, and ensuring reliable data flow, tracking, attribution, and reporting.
Translate cross-functional business requirements into scalable technical solutions by partnering with Marketing, Sales Operations, CRM, and MarTech teams to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the role
3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM and Account Engagement (Pardot), building and optimizing automated campaigns, engagement programs, segmentation, lead scoring, and lifecycle management.
Strong technical understanding of CRM and marketing automation architecture, including campaign hierarchy, field mapping, sync behavior, routing logic, data quality, and attribution.
Experience configuring and supporting integrations, with practical knowledge of APIs, connectors, and end-to-end data flows from form capture through CRM and reporting.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize automation and data issues, ensuring reliable execution, trusted reporting, and scalable campaign operations.
Preferred: experience with Marketing Cloud or Marketing Cloud Next, Power BI, Snowflake, Azure DevOps, AI-enabled automation tools such as Agentforce, and complex global MarTech environments.
Profile: technically driven, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the confidence to advise internal users, explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, work consultatively across functions, and balance governance with enablement while translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Technologies, or a related field, and fluent spoken and written English.
