Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, and tender drawings to understand project requirements.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for window systems.
- Design aluminium, uPVC, and system windows in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop technical solutions and recommend suitable window systems based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and clients for design approvals and technical clarifications.
- Prepare design revisions based on site conditions or client comments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, building codes, and company quality requirements.
Estimation Responsibilities
- Study RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for windows, including materials, hardware, glass, accessories, labour, and installation.
- Perform quantity take-offs from architectural drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material calculations.
- Coordinate with Procurement for vendor quotations and material pricing.
- Analyze project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Maintain updated cost databases and estimation records.
- Support the Sales team during technical presentations and bid discussions.
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, and architects whenever required.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, estimates, and project records.
- Assist in preparing project handover documents after order confirmation.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in Design & Estimation within the Windows Industry (Aluminium, uPVC, or System Windows).
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of aluminium, uPVC, and system window products.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Expertise in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
- Knowledge of hardware, glass specifications, profiles, and accessories.
- Understanding of fabrication and installation processes.
- Knowledge of engineering calculations related to windows is an advantage.
Software Skills
- AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP software (Preferred)
- LogiKal, Orgadata, or other window design software (Preferred)

- Experience handling residential, commercial, and high-rise projects.
- Ability to work under tight tender deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
