Skills and Competencies

2 to 5 years of experience in data management, data quality, data governance, or related analytical functions

Strong knowledge of structured finance products, including Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, Asset-Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, and Collateralized Loan Obligations

Experience working with data acquisition, validation, enrichment, cleansing, and Master Data Management initiatives

Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze, transform, and manage large datasets

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process improvement

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams

Experience with Python, VBA, automation, or scripting tools is preferred

Knowledge of project management practices and software development lifecycle methodologies is preferred
Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required/ MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
Responsibilities
-
Support the acquisition, management, governance, and quality of structured finance data to enable downstream products, analytics, and business growth

Manage the end-to-end production lifecycle for structured finance datasets, including agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and collateralized debt obligations

Acquire, validate, transform, and maintain data to support analytics products and operational processes.

Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness

Coordinate vendor operations by managing submissions, resolving inquiries, defining requirements, establishing acceptance criteria, and approving deliverables

Partner with Data Operations and Development teams to prioritize requirements, create and track work items, and support production activities

Establish and maintain structured asset data governance processes, standards, and controls

Lead initiatives focused on data cleansing, enrichment, and process optimization to improve operational efficiency and data integrity

Contribute to enterprise-wide data quality and Master Data Management initiatives

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices that enhance data management capabilities

Support cross-functional stakeholders through analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts

Our Content Solutions - Structured Finance team is responsible for acquiring, managing, and delivering high-quality structured finance data that powers Moody's analytics solutions and client offerings
