Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's complete accounting and finance operations.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry, with strong hands-on knowledge of accounts finalization, GST, TDS, taxation, inventory accounting, costing, reconciliations, MIS, and audit coordination.
The candidate should be capable of independently handling end-to-end accounting activities and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Handle complete day-to-day accounting operations.
- Maintain and review the General Ledger, Sales, Purchase, Expense, Receipt and Payment accounts.
- Pass and verify journal entries and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
- Perform regular ledger scrutiny and identify discrepancies.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Conduct bank, vendor and customer reconciliations.
2. Finalization of Accounts
- Independently handle monthly, quarterly and annual closing of books.
- Prepare and review Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
- Handle finalization of accounts and necessary adjustment entries.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for financial statement finalization.
- Coordinate with the CA and statutory auditors during finalization and audits.
3. GST & Taxation
- Handle complete GST compliance and accounting.
- Prepare data and coordinate/facilitate filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and annual GST returns.
- Perform GST reconciliation and input tax credit verification.
- Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment and return-related activities.
- Support Income Tax compliance, assessments and related documentation.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
4. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Handle accounting related to raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods.
- Monitor inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Assist in product costing and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Analyze production costs, material consumption and cost variances.
- Coordinate with production/stores/purchase teams for inventory-related accounting.
- Monitor physical stock and reconcile it with books.
5. MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
- Analyze expenses, profitability, receivables, payables and working capital.
- Provide accurate financial information to management for decision-making.
6. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules, documents and supporting information.
- Resolve audit queries and ensure timely submission of required records.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial controls.
7. Banking & Reconciliation
- Handle bank transactions and Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Track outstanding payments and collections.
- Assist in cash-flow monitoring and fund management.
8. Fixed Assets & Other Accounting Activities
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Calculate and account for depreciation.
- Handle inter-company/inter-unit transactions, where applicable.
- Ensure proper accounting of expenses, provisions, accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
Required Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory/preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounts finalization.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime / ERP / accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate should be someone who:
- Has worked independently in the Accounts & Finance department of a manufacturing company.
- Has hands-on experience in finalization of accounts.
- Understands the complete accounting cycle rather than only data entry/bookkeeping.
- Can independently handle GST, TDS, reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Has practical understanding of manufacturing costs, inventory and stock accounting.
- Can coordinate effectively with management, auditors, CA, vendors and internal departments.
- Is detail-oriented, responsible and capable of meeting statutory deadlines.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
