1. Engagement Delivery (Client Acceptance to Report Issuance)
- Lead client acceptance and continuance procedures, including independence assessments, KYC/AML documentation, and engagement risk evaluations in accordance with Standards on Quality Management (SQM).
- Prepare and finalize engagement letters, scope confirmations, and fee proposals in coordination with the Engagement Partner.
- Plan audit engagements by determining materiality, performing risk assessments, developing audit strategies, allocating resources, and establishing timelines.
- Review audit documentation, financial statements, and disclosures to ensure compliance with Ind AS/IGAAP, Schedule III, the Companies Act, 2013, and applicable SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee Internal Financial Controls (IFC/ICFR) testing, related party transaction reviews, and coordinate statutory audit deliverables with tax audits and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Lead the audit completion process by resolving outstanding matters, preparing management representation letters, drafting audit reports, CARO reporting, and Key Audit Matters (where applicable).
- Present audit findings, significant judgments, and audit reports to CFOs, Audit Committees, Boards of Directors, and senior management.
2. Project Management
- Develop and monitor engagement budgets, timelines, staffing plans, and resource utilization.
- Track engagement progress across the client portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of review comments, open items, and Audit Committee action points.
- Coordinate with component auditors, valuation experts, actuaries, IT audit specialists, tax professionals, and other internal or external specialists as required.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client CFOs, finance teams, and senior management.
- Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage client expectations by communicating timelines, deliverables, and emerging issues promptly.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and escalate significant matters to the Engagement Partner when appropriate.
4. Quality, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all engagements comply with the firm's Standards on Quality Management (SQM), audit methodology, documentation standards, and internal review requirements.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready engagement files, including engagement letters, independence documentation, and EQCR requirements where applicable.
- Stay current with ICAI, NFRA, Companies Act, SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory developments, incorporating changes into audit execution.
- Support internal quality reviews, peer reviews, and regulatory inspections.
5. Team Leadership & People Development
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and review the work of Senior Associates, Associates, and Article Assistants.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and support continuous professional development.
- Assist in onboarding new team members and deliver technical and process-related training programs.
- Contribute to engagement performance evaluations and the firm's Performance Management Framework (PMF).
- Foster a collaborative team environment while mentoring articled assistants through their CA qualification journey.
6. Billing & Commercial Management
- Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with engagement terms and monitor collections.
- Track engagement realization, budgets, work-in-progress (WIP), and recoverability.
- Identify scope changes, billing opportunities, and potential write-offs, discussing commercial implications with the Engagement Partner.
7. Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing clients, including tax, internal audit, advisory, ESG/BRSR, valuation, and risk consulting engagements.
- Support proposal preparation, RFP responses, and client presentations for new business opportunities.
- Represent the firm at ICAI programs, industry forums, seminars, and networking events to strengthen the firm's market presence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in statutory audit with a reputed CA firm.
- Proven experience independently managing statutory audits of medium to large organizations, including exposure to listed entities, NBFCs, or other regulated sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of audit documentation software and ERP systems such as CaseWare, SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar platforms is preferred.
Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
