Job Summary
An EMT provides immediate medical care and life support to patients during medical emergencies, accidents, and patient transportation. The EMT assists doctors and nurses in emergency procedures, stabilizes patients, operates emergency medical equipment, and ensures safe transport to healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to emergency calls and ambulance duties
- Assess patient condition and provide first aid/basic life support
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition during transport
- Assist doctors and nurses in emergency and trauma care
- Handle CPR, oxygen administration, airway management, and immobilization
- Prepare and maintain emergency equipment and ambulance readiness
- Shift and transfer patients safely within hospital or ambulance
- Maintain accurate patient care records and reports
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff and patient attendants
Required Skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- CPR and emergency response handling
- Trauma patient management
- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of emergency medical equipment
- Patient handling and transportation skills
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in EMT, Emergency Care Technology, or Allied Health Sciences
- BLS certification preferred
- ACLS certification added advantage
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience preferred in emergency or ambulance services
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts including night duty
- Emergency and trauma care environment
- Ambulance and field emergency response duties
Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
