Job Description:
The HVAC Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role involves system design, equipment selection, load calculations, and coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform heat load calculations, ventilation requirements, and equipment selection using industry-standard software.
- Prepare HVAC design drawings, schematics, and layouts (ducting, piping, and equipment arrangement).
- Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities), equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams for design integration.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA), and project requirements.
- Review vendor quotations, technical submittals, and assist in equipment finalization.
- Support site teams with design clarifications, modifications, and as-built documentation.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
- Incorporate energy efficiency and sustainability principles into HVAC system design.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–10 years of experience in HVAC system design (for junior/mid-level roles).
- Proficiency in design software such as HAP, Carrier E20, AutoCAD, Revit MEP.
- Strong understanding of HVAC standards and design practices.
- Good communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of green building concepts (LEED, GRIHA certification).
- Experience in VRV/VRF, chilled water, and industrial ventilation systems.
- Familiarity with CFD analysis tools (optional).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
