We're looking for an Imaging Analyst who is passionate about medical imaging, anatomy, and precision data annotation. In this role, you'll work with multimodal radiology datasets to create accurate annotations, segmentations, and landmark labels that support the development of AI-powered healthcare solutions.
You'll collaborate closely with radiologists, AI researchers, software engineers, and clinical scientists to produce high-quality imaging datasets while adhering to rigorous annotation standards and quality processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with medical images, has exceptional attention to detail, and wants to contribute to the future of healthcare AI.
-
Perform high-quality annotations across multiple medical imaging modalities, including CT, MR, PT, US, and other radiology datasets.
-
Segment anatomical and neuroanatomical structures using established annotation protocols and quality standards.
-
Perform high-precision landmark placement for neuroimaging datasets.
-
Interpret MRI sequences to accurately identify anatomical structures and tissue characteristics.
-
Utilize ITK / ITK-SNAP for volumetric segmentation, multi-planar visualization, and image registration validation.
-
Work with OHIF Viewer to review DICOM studies, DICOM-SEG overlays, and annotation workflows.
-
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure annotation accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
-
Collaborate with radiologists, clinical experts, AI researchers, and software engineers to continuously improve annotation quality and workflows.
-
Maintain annotation documentation and follow standard operating procedures.
-
Contribute to the development of high-quality datasets that enable AI-driven medical imaging solutions.
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Radiography, Medical Technology, Anatomy, Neuroscience, or a related technical discipline.
-
General Foundational Anatomical Literacy: Core understanding of spatial orientation, tissue laterality, and multi-planar cross-sectional anatomy across axial, sagittal, and coronal views. Ability to cleanly distinguish gross anatomical boundaries, bone interfaces, and background air to establish a reliable baseline. Annotation experience of all radiology modalities like CT, MR, PT, US, and others.
-
Brain Foundational Neuroanatomical Literacy: Ability to segment 33 semantic structures like the cortex and brainstem on multi-planar MRI. Annotators must accurately isolate deep grey nuclei and navigate complex boundaries like the hippocampal-amygdala transition.
-
High-Precision Neuro Landmark Placement: Proficiency placing 24 point landmarks within a strict 1 mm target window of spatial error. Annotators must follow protocols for AC-PC alignment, cortical extremes, and deep grey matter surgical targets.
-
Sequence-Specific Image Interpretation: Mastery of MRI contrast differences to leverage T1w series for anatomy and bony landmarks. Annotators must utilize T2w series for fluid-containing structures, ventricles, and global CSF boundaries.
-
Software Proficiency with ITK / ITK-SNAP: Expertise utilizing ITK environments for volumetric 3D segmentation, multi-planar visualization, and 6-DOF registration checks. Annotators must accurately export final masks as 16-bit integer NIfTI-1 (.nii.gz) volumes.
-
Web-Based DICOM Operations via OHIF Viewer: Competency utilizing OHIF tools to navigate raw DICOM series, display DICOM-SEG overlays, and manage workflows. Annotators must use point tools to capture exact 3D RAS coordinates for JSON sidecar export.
-
Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality annotations.
-
Excellent analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Experience working on large-scale medical imaging annotation projects.
-
Familiarity with AI-assisted medical imaging workflows.
-
Experience with medical image quality assurance and validation processes.
-
Exposure to neuroimaging research or clinical imaging workflows.
-
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, researchers, and AI engineers.
-
Contributions to medical imaging research or scientific publications are a plus.
