About the Role
Consortium e-Learning Network Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting as well as practical experience in Profit & Loss analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, expense monitoring and financial planning.
This role requires someone who can go beyond routine accounting and help management understand the company's financial performance, profitability, expenses and financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Accounting & Financial Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
Handle journal entries, ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Review invoices, bills, expenses and payment documentation.
- 2. Profit & Loss & Financial Analysis
- Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements.
Monitor revenue, expenses, gross profit and net profit.
Analyse the reasons behind changes in profitability.
Identify areas of high expenditure and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare financial reports for management review.
Track the overall financial health and performance of the company.
- 3. Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and monitor departmental/company budgets.
Compare actual expenses against budgets and analyse variances.
Identify unnecessary or avoidable expenses.
Support management in controlling operational costs.
Evaluate the financial impact of major purchases and business expenses.
Provide recommendations for cost optimisation and better utilisation of company resources.
- 4. Financial Planning & Management Support
Assist management in financial planning and decision-making.
Forecast upcoming expenses and financial requirements.
Monitor cash flow, receivables and payables.
Provide management with financial insights before major financial decisions.
Analyse whether proposed expenses are necessary, reasonable and financially viable.
- 5. Purchase & Vendor Financial Control
Verify purchase bills, invoices and supporting documents.
Review vendor quotations and compare costs where required.
Track vendor payments and outstanding balances.
Ensure purchases and expenses are properly recorded and within approved budgets.
Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, payments and financial documentation.
Handle/coordinate GST-related accounting and documentation.
Assist with TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.
Ensure proper maintenance of tax-related records.
Coordinate with external consultants/auditors wherever required.
Support internal and statutory audit requirements.
*Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Good understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in budgeting and cost control.
Ability to analyse expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software such as Tally / Tally Prime or other ERP/accounting software.
Good vendor and payment management skills.
Ability to prepare management reports.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to independently handle financial responsibilities and provide practical recommendations to management.

Eligibility
Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred.
Experience: 3–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
Candidates with strong practical experience in P&L analysis, budgeting, cost control and management reporting will be preferred.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹60,000 per month
Salary will be decided based on experience, skills, practical accounting knowledge and financial analysis capabilities.
