Position Title: Music Teacher
Department: Academic / Co-curricular
Reports To: Principal / Vice Principal
Job Summary:
The Music Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering music education to students, fostering creativity, and developing students’ musical skills. The role includes organizing musical activities, preparing students for performances, and contributing to the cultural development of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct music classes for students as per the curriculum.
- Teach vocal and/or instrumental music based on expertise.
- Develop students’ understanding of rhythm, melody, and musical concepts.
- Prepare students for school events, competitions, and cultural programs.
- Organize and manage choir, band, or music groups.
- Encourage student participation in music-related activities.
- Maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate with other teachers for interdisciplinary activities.
- Maintain musical instruments and ensure their proper use.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of music theory and practice
- Ability to teach both individual and group sessions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and passion for music
- Classroom management skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music or related field
- Relevant teaching experience preferred
- Certification in music (if applicable)
Additional Duties:
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and events
- Support school functions and extracurricular programs
Working Conditions:
- School environment with regular classroom teaching and event participation
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
