- Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial and operational threats, and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s risk mitigation strategies. [1]
- Compliance: Ensure all business practices comply with relevant laws, industry standards, and internal corporate policies. [1, 2]
- Control Evaluation: Test existing financial and operational controls to verify their reliability and pinpoint vulnerabilities. [1, 2]
- Reporting & Recommendations: Draft comprehensive audit reports for senior management and the audit committee, highlighting deficiencies and suggesting process improvements. [1, 2, 3]
- Fraud Investigation: Assist in identifying improper conduct, theft, or fraudulent activities and verify records against source data. [1, 2, 3]
- External Audit Support: Act as a liaison and provide necessary data and testing support for external third-party auditors
