Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with security cameras (CCTV), fire detection systems, access control, and related safety infrastructure.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of verified field experience in CCTV, Fire Alarm, and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Education & Certifications:
- ITI (Electrical/Wireman) or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise with IP and analog CCTV systems, NVRs, DVRs, and VMS software.
- Experience with addressable and conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP), smoke/heat detectors, and manual call points.
- Basic networking skills (LAN, IP configuration, PoE switches, router setup) for IP camera networks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, floor layouts, and technical schematics.
- Logistics & Other Requirements:
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel locally to project sites.
- Physical ability to work on ladders, staging, and carry equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and repair CCTV cameras, Fire Alarm panels, Public Address (PA) systems, and Access Control hardware.
- Execute structured cabling work (Cat6, Coaxial, 2-Core Fire Cable) including conduit piping, trunking, crimping, and tagging.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, system testing, and troubleshooting of faulty equipment.
- Maintain daily service logs, site inspection checklists, and report work progress to the Project Manager.
- Provide basic system operational training to client representatives on site.
