Job Title: Income Tax Manager (Direct Tax)
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Income Tax Manager to lead our Direct Tax practice. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Income Tax compliance, tax advisory, assessments, litigation support, and client relationship management. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Direct Tax team, ensuring timely statutory compliances, providing strategic tax solutions, and maintaining high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and finalize Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for Individuals, HUFs, Partnership Firms, LLPs, Companies, Trusts, and other entities.
- Prepare, review, and finalize tax computations, advance tax calculations, self-assessment tax, and TDS compliance.
- Handle Income Tax notices, scrutiny assessments, reassessments, appeals, rectification matters, and litigation support.
- Draft professional replies to Income Tax notices and represent clients before Income Tax authorities whenever required.
- Provide tax planning, advisory, and compliance solutions to clients.
- Stay updated with the latest amendments, notifications, circulars, and judicial pronouncements under the Income Tax Act and advise clients accordingly.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Review work completed by team members and maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with Audit, Accounts, GST, and other internal teams for tax-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely support and practical tax solutions.
- Train, mentor, and guide junior staff, article assistants, and tax associates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance operational efficiency within the Direct Tax practice.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Income Tax Act, Direct Tax Laws, and related regulations.
- Experience in handling Income Tax assessments, appeals, notices, and litigation matters.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client interaction skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Income Tax compliance software.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments within deadlines.
Eligibility
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (Preferred) / Semi-Qualified CA / CA Pursuing.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in a Chartered Accountant firm with exposure to Direct Tax.
- Prior experience in client handling, team management, and tax advisory will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
