Job Summary
The General Manager (Operations) is responsible for the overall management and profitability of hotel operations. The role ensures exceptional guest satisfaction, efficient operational performance, revenue growth, cost control, regulatory compliance, and team development while maintaining the highest hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management Oversee daily hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Engineering, Security, Sales, and Finance. Ensure all departments operate according to SOPs and brand standards. Conduct daily operational review meetings. Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel performance. Ensure smooth guest arrival, stay, and departure experience.
2. Financial Management Prepare and manage annual operating budgets. Achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets. Monitor departmental expenses and optimize operational costs. Control Food Cost, Beverage Cost, Payroll Cost, Utility Cost, and other operating expenses. Review daily revenue reports, P&L statements, and financial KPIs. Improve EBITDA through operational efficiencies.
3. Guest Experience Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and service quality. Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor online reviews and improve ratings on OTA platforms. Maintain guest feedback systems and implement corrective actions.
4. Food & Beverage Operations Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. Monitor restaurant profitability and productivity. Control food cost and wastage. Develop seasonal menus and promotional campaigns. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
5. Sales & Revenue Management Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to increase occupancy and revenue. Develop corporate business and banquet sales. Improve room yield and average room rates. Monitor market trends and competitor performance. Drive F&B promotions and events to maximize revenue.
6. Human Resource Management Recruit, train, and retain high-performing employees. Conduct performance reviews and succession planning. Build a positive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Manage employee engagement and productivity.
7. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Fire Safety, Health & Safety, Pollution Control, and local statutory requirements. Conduct regular operational audits. Maintain cleanliness and preventive maintenance standards. Ensure successful internal and external audits.
8. Maintenance & Asset Management Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Monitor engineering and utility performance. Protect hotel assets through proper maintenance planning. Optimize energy and utility consumption.
9. Procurement & Inventory Approve procurement based on budget and operational needs. Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance. Ensure proper inventory control and stock accuracy. Reduce inventory holding costs and eliminate wastage.
10. Leadership Lead departmental heads toward achieving business goals. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly review meetings. Develop future leaders through coaching and mentoring. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
