We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify, engage, and qualify potential customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and relationship building. This role serves as the first point of contact with prospective clients and plays a critical role in driving company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and research potential customers through various channels, including LinkedIn, company databases, referrals, and online research.
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, social media, and networking activities.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
Lead Qualification
- Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria and determine sales readiness.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
Relationship Building
- Establish and nurture relationships with prospective customers.
- Maintain regular communication with leads throughout the qualification process.
- Deliver a positive and professional customer experience.
CRM Management & Reporting
- Accurately record prospect interactions and activities in CRM systems.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including calls, emails, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date prospect and customer records.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to optimize lead generation efforts.
- Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Support marketing campaigns and lead nurturing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales environments.
- Familiarity with SaaS, IT services, or technology products.
- Experience using sales engagement tools such as Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Understanding of sales methodologies and lead qualification frameworks (BANT, MEDDIC, SPIN Selling, etc.).
