About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Sourcing & Procurement Engineer – Electronics with 3–5 years of experience in sourcing electronic components, PCBs, wire harnesses, and EMS products. The ideal candidate should have strong vendor management skills, commercial acumen, and experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Source electronic components, PCBs, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and EMS products from qualified suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop new vendors while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Float RFQs, negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
- Compare quotations and perform cost analysis to achieve optimal procurement decisions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Project teams for technical clarifications and timely procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet project schedules and production requirements.
- Maintain procurement documentation, purchase orders, and supplier records.
- Drive cost reduction and localization initiatives without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, E&C, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of electronic components or EMS products.
- Strong understanding of BOMs, electronic components, PCB manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor development, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience in contract manufacturing, OEM, or EMS environments.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and supplier quality processes.
- Experience in Project Management
