About the Role
We are hiring a Diploma Mechanical Engineer to handle maintenance, service, and field support for pumps and hydraulic systems. This is a hands-on, field-heavy role suited for someone who is comfortable traveling to customer/project sites, troubleshooting mechanical systems under time pressure, and supervising on-ground technical operations including hydrojetting.
You will work closely with our Operations & Purchase team to ensure smooth service delivery, timely maintenance, and customer satisfaction across our project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance/service of pumps and hydraulic systems at customer and project sites
- Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and carry out repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance
- Supervise hydrojetting operations — plan the job, coordinate the crew, ensure safety protocols and quality of output
- Travel extensively to client sites for installation, servicing, inspection, and troubleshooting (outstation travel required, sometimes on short notice)
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and spare parts consumption reports
- Coordinate with the operations/purchase team on spares, consumables, and vendor support required for service jobs
- Identify recurring failure patterns and escalate for design/engineering review
- Ensure all field work complies with safety standards and client site protocols
- Train and guide junior technicians/field staff during service visits, where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in pump maintenance, hydraulic systems, or industrial field service
- Working knowledge of hydraulic circuits, pump types (centrifugal, positive displacement, etc.), seals, valves, and associated piping systems
- Prior exposure to hydrojetting operations strongly preferred
- Willingness to travel frequently, including multi-day site visits
- Ability to work independently at client sites with minimal supervision
- Basic documentation skills — service reports, checklists, maintenance logs
- Physically fit for field/site conditions (climbing, lifting, working in industrial environments)
- Two-wheeler/valid driving license preferred for local site mobility
Good to Have (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with pressure pumps, jetting machines, or industrial cleaning equipment
- Basic understanding of PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) sites, storage racking systems, or mezzanine structures
- Prior experience working with third-party vendors/sub-contractors on-site
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
