About the Role
You'll join a fast-moving engineering team working on a modern TypeScript. You'll build and maintain features across the full stack — from REST APIs to React UIs — under the guidance of senior engineers.
What You'll Work On
- Building new UI screens and components using React and Next.js
- Writing and maintaining Express API endpoints
- Working with PostgreSQL via Prisma ORM
- Fixing bugs across the frontend and backend
- Following an established design system for all UI work
Requirements
Must Have
- Solid JavaScript fundamentals — async/await, closures, array methods, modules
- TypeScript basics — types, interfaces, understanding of why strict typing matters
- React — functional components, hooks (useState, useEffect, useContext), props
- REST APIs — can read and write a basic Express route, understands HTTP methods and status codes
- SQL — comfortable writing SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY; understands relational data
- Git — branching, committing, opening and reviewing pull requests
Good to Have
- Next.js (App Router preferred)
- Basic understanding of authentication (sessions, JWTs)
- Any exposure to writing tests
