Job Summary
Lakshmi Shutter is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Controller to manage inventory operations, maintain stock accuracy, ensure material availability, and support efficient inventory planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring stock movements, conducting inventory audits, and ensuring smooth coordination between procurement, stores, and production functions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of raw materials, finished goods, and spare parts in the inventory management system.
Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through proper stock monitoring and control procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials to support production and installation activities.
Track material consumption patterns and initiate stock replenishment requests to prevent stock-outs and overstock situations.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Optimize inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production departments for effective inventory planning.
Prepare and submit Inventory MIS reports covering stock movement, inventory valuation, shortages, and material consumption trends.
Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Experience & Skills
- Experience in inventory control, stores management, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock control techniques.
- Experience in stock verification, reconciliation, and inventory reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Industrial Products, Rolling Shutter Manufacturing, or related industries.
Knowledge of inventory planning, material management, and warehouse operations.
Experience in preparing inventory MIS reports and inventory performance analysis.
Ability to manage inventory efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
