JOB SUMMARY
Magic Hammer Realtors is seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance at our civil construction project site located at BPCL, Irumpanam, Kochi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment by implementing safety standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory health and safety regulations.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe execution of all site activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in civil construction projects.
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a recognized Safety Certification.
- Sound knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage site safety effectively.
