About the Role
We are looking for a Visiting Faculty member for Data Analysis using R Programming to teach undergraduate students in the B.Sc. Data Science program.
The course focuses on building practical skills in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization using R. The emphasis will be on hands-on coding sessions, working with real datasets, and developing analytical thinking using R as a statistical computing tool.
Students should complete the course with the ability to import, clean, analyze, visualize, and interpret datasets using R programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 60 hours of teaching across the semester
- Conduct hands-on coding sessions using R
- Teach students how to analyze and visualize data using R tools and packages
- Design assignments, exercises, and case-based learning activities
- Guide students in data analysis mini-projects using real-world datasets
- Support internal assessments and project evaluation
- Encourage analytical thinking and structured problem-solving

Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- Strong hands-on experience with R programming for data analysis
- Familiarity with RStudio and commonly used packages (dplyr, tidyr, ggplot2)
- Experience working with data analysis or statistical modeling projects
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred
- Ability to teach programming concepts clearly to undergraduate students
Teaching Commitment
- Total Course Duration: 60 hours
- Weekly Teaching Load: Approximately 4–6 hours
- Mode: On-campus teaching in Pune
Faculty may also be required to prepare assignments, coding exercises, and internal assessments.
