SAMMS TECH SPM AUTOMATION is looking for an experienced PLC Programmer to develop, troubleshoot, and commission PLC-based control systems for Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI development, and machine commissioning.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and modify PLC programs for SPM machines.
- Design and develop HMI screens for machine operation.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo Drive, and electrical control systems.
- Perform machine testing, commissioning, and customer site installation.
- Read and understand electrical drawings and control panel schematics.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, and field devices.
- Diagnose automation issues and provide effective solutions.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Design teams during machine development.
- Maintain PLC program backups and technical documentation.
- Provide customer support during machine installation and after-sales service.
Required Skills
- Experience in PLC Programming (Siemens, Delta, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent).
- HMI programming and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Servo Drives, VFDs, Sensors, Pneumatics, and Industrial Automation.
- Electrical panel troubleshooting and machine commissioning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for machine installation and customer support.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
Preferred Candidate
- 1–5 years of experience in PLC programming for SPM or industrial automation.
- Experience in machine commissioning and customer site support.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
