Position Title:
Special Educator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educator to support students with diverse learning needs. The candidate will be responsible for identifying learning difficulties, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing appropriate academic and behavioral support to help students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ learning needs and identify areas requiring special support.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Provide remedial instruction and individualized support based on students’ abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school counselors to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, and interventions.
- Support inclusive classroom practices and assist teachers in adapting teaching methods.
- Conduct regular parent meetings and provide guidance on student development.
- Use appropriate teaching strategies, learning aids, and assistive technologies.
- Participate in school meetings, training programs, and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and child safeguarding practices.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Special Education or relevant field.
- B.Ed. in Special Education preferred.
- Certification in Special Education recognized by relevant authorities.
- RCI certificate
Skills Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices and learning disabilities.
Working Hours:
7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
Salary:
As per school norms and experience.
