Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, self-driven Video Editor & Content Creator who can handle the entire content lifecycle—from scriptwriting to AI-powered video generation to final editing. You won't just cut footage; you'll conceptualize ideas, write compelling scripts, leverage AI tools to generate visuals, and deliver polished, platform-optimized videos for Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube, and our website.
This is an office-based role at our Thapar University location. You'll be working closely with the founding team in a startup environment where your ideas matter and your creativity has direct impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scriptwriting & Creative Conceptualization
Research trending topics in wellness, holistic health, and natural living
Write engaging, concise scripts for short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) and longer explainer content
Develop hooks that stop the scroll within the first 3 seconds
Adapt brand messaging to resonate with audiences seeking natural health solutions
Collaborate with the marketing team to align scripts with campaign goals
2. AI Video Generation & Asset Creation
Generate high-quality AI visuals using tools like Google Flow, HeyGen, or similar platforms
Create AI voiceovers using ElevenLabs or equivalent tools
Use AI-powered tools for automated captioning, background removal, and video enhancement
Maintain a library of effective prompts for consistency and efficiency
3. Video Editing & Post-Production
Edit raw and AI-generated footage into polished, engaging videos for Instagram Reels (9:16) and YouTube (16:9)
Add motion graphics, kinetic typography, and transitions using After Effects
Perform color correction, audio mixing, and sound design
Create multiple cuts for A/B testing and different platforms
Ensure videos are optimized for both sound-on and sound-off viewing
4. Brand Consistency
Maintain visual identity aligned with our wood wellness brand (warm tones, natural textures, earthy aesthetics)
Organize project files and asset libraries for easy access
Ensure all content reflects the authenticity of our products
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Video Editing: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Motion Graphics: Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
AI Tools: Experience with at least 2-3 AI tools for video/voice generation
Scriptwriting: Strong command of Hindi and English; ability to write conversational scripts
Basic Design: Familiarity with Canva or Photoshop for thumbnails
Experience
1-3 years of experience in video editing and content creation
Portfolio demonstrating:
Short-form social media videos with strong hooks
AI-generated video work (if applicable)
Script-to-video transformation examples
Motion graphics or explainer videos
Soft Skills
Self-directed with strong ownership—able to take a brief from concept to delivery
Quick learner—excited to experiment with new AI tools
Detail-oriented—meticulous about quality and file organization
Collaborative—open to feedback and able to iterate quickly
