Role Summary:
We are looking for passionate and skilled Commis Chefs to join our kitchen team across South Indian, Indian/Tandoor, and Continental sections. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as per standard recipes while maintaining high standards of hygiene, consistency, and kitchen discipline.
Candidates applying for the South Indian and Indian/Tandoor sections must have hands-on experience in preparing authentic Hyderabadi Biryani and other popular biryani varieties, along with their respective cuisines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all orders.
- Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen section and maintain personal hygiene at all times.
- Follow food safety standards, FSSAI guidelines, and kitchen SOPs.
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and temperature control of food items.
- Handle raw materials and ingredients responsibly to minimize wastage.
- Report stock shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders.
- Adhere strictly to kitchen operational procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Indian/Tandoor, or Continental operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours when required.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / Certification in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Bakery & Confectionery, or related field preferred.
- Relevant hands-on kitchen experience will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
