Position - System Administrator – ITES (Information Technology Enabled Services)

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled System Administrator – ITES to manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, network, servers, hardware, software, security, and end-user support. The ideal candidate should ensure high system availability, maintain data security, troubleshoot technical issues, and support employees with IT-related requirements.
The role requires hands-on expertise in system administration, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT asset management while supporting the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Configure user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and domain administration.
- Monitor storage utilization and optimize system resources.
2. Network Administration
- Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Ensure secure remote access for employees.
- Maintain internet connectivity and bandwidth utilization.
- Configure VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network security policies.
3. IT Infrastructure Management
- Maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, and peripherals.
- Install and configure software applications required by different departments.
- Manage server rooms and networking equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and warranty support.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of IT infrastructure.
4. Cybersecurity
- Implement antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and email security solutions.
- Monitor systems for unauthorized access and security threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies.
- Implement password policies and access management.
5. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Plan and execute regular backups.
- Monitor backup integrity and restoration processes.
- Develop disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure business continuity through periodic recovery testing.
6. Helpdesk & User Support
- Provide first and second-level technical support.
- Resolve hardware, software, network, printer, and email issues.
- Support Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, HRMS, and business applications.
- Maintain helpdesk tickets and service records.
- Train employees on IT best practices.
7. Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage Microsoft 365 accounts.
- Configure Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Manage cloud storage and user licenses.
- Administer Azure Active Directory (preferred).
8. IT Asset Management
- Maintain inventory of laptops, desktops, servers, networking devices, and software licenses.
- Track asset allocation and returns.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
- Maintain documentation for warranties and software licenses.
9. Documentation
- Maintain network diagrams and system architecture.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain IT policies and user manuals.
- Prepare monthly IT health reports.
10. Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with ISPs, hardware vendors, software providers, and service partners.
- Negotiate service contracts.
- Ensure timely resolution of vendor-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or related field.
- Diploma in Computer Hardware & Networking is also acceptable with relevant experience.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified (MCSA / Modern Desktop Administrator)
- CCNA
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- ITIL Foundation (preferred)
Experience
- 6+ years in System Administration or IT Infrastructure.
- Experience in manufacturing or startup environments is preferred.
- Experience managing 30–300 users is an added advantage.
