Job Summary
The PGT Chemistry teacher is responsible for teaching chemistry to students of Classes XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons, prepare students for Board examinations and competitive entrance examinations, conduct practical laboratory sessions, and contribute to the overall academic excellence of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to Classes XI & XII in accordance with the latest CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, annual planners, and teaching-learning materials.
- Conduct theory and practical classes while ensuring laboratory safety and discipline.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and competitive exams such as JEE, NEET, and CUET.
- Design and evaluate assignments, worksheets, projects, practical records, and internal assessments.
- Maintain students' academic records, attendance, and performance reports.
- Identify slow and advanced learners and provide appropriate academic support.
- Integrate digital learning tools, smart classroom technology, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Encourage scientific thinking, analytical skills, and inquiry-based learning.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews, school events, and faculty development programmes.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE guidelines and school policies.
Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- CTET qualification is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE School.
- Experience in handling Classes XI & XII is mandatory.
- Proven track record of producing excellent CBSE Board examination results.
- Experience in NEET/JEE coaching will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Excellent subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and motivate students.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ERP systems, and smart board technology.
- Effective lesson planning, assessment, and evaluation skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
