We are looking for an experienced HR Manager with prior experience in the School/Education sector to independently manage the complete HR function.
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations, recruitment, payroll, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance management, HR policies, and employee engagement for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Prior HR experience in a School/Educational Institution is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End HR Operations
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit.
- Handle onboarding, employee documentation, attendance, leave, confirmations, transfers and separations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes and SOPs.
- Handle employee queries, grievances and disciplinary matters.
2. Recruitment – Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for teachers, academic staff, administrative and support staff.
- Coordinate with school leadership and department heads for manpower requirements.
- Source, screen, interview and coordinate selection of candidates.
- Manage offer, joining and onboarding processes.
- Maintain recruitment trackers and manpower reports.
3. Payroll Management
- Handle end-to-end monthly payroll for teaching and non-teaching employees.
- Verify attendance, leaves, LOP, incentives, deductions and salary inputs.
- Coordinate with Finance for timely payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salary and statutory deductions.
- Handle Full & Final settlements and exit payroll.
- Maintain payroll MIS and salary-related records.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, Gratuity, Bonus, Shops & Establishments and other applicable compliances.
- Ensure timely statutory payments, filings and returns.
- Maintain statutory registers and records.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors and government authorities when required.
- Stay updated on changes in labour laws and ensure timely implementation.
5. Employee Relations & School HR
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues professionally.
- Maintain positive employee relations across teaching and non-teaching teams.
- Support school management in employee-related matters.
- Manage staff attendance, leave and discipline.
- Ensure adherence to school policies and code of conduct.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
6. Performance Management
- Manage probation, confirmation and appraisal processes.
- Coordinate performance reviews and KPI documentation.
- Work with academic and administrative heads on performance-related matters.
- Support performance improvement processes where required.
7. HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop, review and implement HR policies relevant to the school environment.
- Ensure proper documentation and communication of HR policies.
- Maintain HR MIS and provide regular reports to management.
- Ensure HR processes are consistently followed across departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant HR experience.
- Prior HR experience in a School/Educational Institution is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end HR operations, payroll and statutory compliance.
- Good knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Experience handling both teaching and non-teaching staff will be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS/Payroll software.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on HR professional with prior experience in the school/education sector, capable of independently managing HR operations for both teaching and non-teaching employees.
Strong practical knowledge of school HR processes, payroll, statutory compliance and employee relations is mandatory. Experience working in a growing school or educational institution will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
