About the Opportunity We are an established fintech player with over 13 years of leadership in the rewards space, and we have recently expanded into high-growth digital payments. Our newly launched instant money feature has already crossed $1M in payment volume. Now, our goal is simple: scale this payment system 100x over the coming quarters.
We are looking for a sharp generalist with a knack for data, strong ownership, and deep curiosity about everything that can go wrong when money moves at scale.
This role sits at the active intersection of fraud mitigation, risk operations, transaction monitoring, customer experience, and data-backed problem-solving. You will help build the risk backbone of a fast-scaling payments business from its early days, while getting a front-row seat to a journey from $1M to $100M+ in volume.
What You Will Do
- Transaction Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor daily payment flows to identify anomalies, suspicious patterns, and potential fraud vectors in real time.
- Risk & Controls Backbone: Help design, implement, and refine risk strategies, operational controls, and fraud prevention frameworks.
- Data-Driven Problem Solving: Dive deep into transactional and behavioral data to root-cause issues, balance risk mitigation with customer friction, and optimize our systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the bridge between risk, operations, and customer experience to ensure clean, secure, and seamless user journeys.
- Scale Systems: Build scalable risk workflows that can reliably support a 100x increase in transactional volume.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3–10 years of professional experience, ideally within fintech, payment gateways, e-commerce, or digital wallets.
- Analytical Mindset: High comfort with data, pattern recognition, and analytical tools (like Advanced Excel, SQL, or dashboarding platforms).
- Deep Curiosity: A natural inclination to ask "what could go wrong?" and the persistence to investigate unusual digital behaviors.
- Customer-First Orientation: The ability to protect the platform from fraud without sacrificing a seamless user experience.
- Ownership & Bias for Action: A self-starter mentality who thrives in early-to-mid-stage, fast-moving environments and takes complete responsibility for results.
