A Senior Staff Nurse is an advanced, first-level supervisory nurse responsible for delivering specialized patient care, managing ward operations, and mentoring junior nursing staff. They deputize for the charge nurse, coordinate multidisciplinary clinical activities, and ensure adherence to hospital safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties-
- Clinical Care & Leadership: Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, promptly recognize patient deterioration, and lead emergency clinical interventions.
- Ward & Unit Management: Supervise daily operations, manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and oversee clinical inventory and medication checks.
- Supervision & Mentoring: Assign duties to junior staff and support personnel, evaluate clinical performance, and provide hands-on coaching for new nurses and nursing students.
- Interprofessional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and hospital administration to streamline treatment protocols.
- Quality & Compliance: Participate in clinical risk assessments, monitor safety error reporting, and implement infection control improvements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
