JB 8 : Group Manager - Operational Excellence & E-Commerce Transformation
Job Description
The person will be responsible for driving digital and technology?led transformation initiatives across the fashion retail value chain, with a strong focus on operational excellence, e?commerce, omnichannel enablement and customer experience platforms. The role will act as a strategic integrator between business teams and technology ecosystems, ensuring that digital solutions are aligned to commercial objectives, scalable for growth while being relevant to the Indian retail landscape.

Drive ideation and solution conceptualization for new digital capabilities aligned with business strategy

Conduct technology–business fitment analysis, feasibility assessments and value realization planning

Own the creation of business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications and solution blueprints

Lead vendor assessment and selection, including RFPs, evaluations, demos, PoCs, commercials and contract negotiations

Assess the current technology landscape and define future?state architecture and digital roadmaps

Drive process re?engineering and digitization across e?commerce operations, order fulfillment, inventory visibility, returns, customer service and store integration

Act as an internal technology consultant to business leaders, providing recommendations on platforms, tools and best practices

Manage end?to?end project delivery, including planning, execution, risk management and post?go?live stabilization

Own project budgets, cost optimization, benefit tracking and vendor financial governance

Partner closely with E?commerce, Marketing, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, IT Infrastructure and Finance teams
Ensure change management, adoption, and training for all digital initiatives.

Strong business analysis and requirement definition capability, translating business needs into clear, actionable BRDs and solution designs

Technology evaluation and fitment expertise, including assessment of platforms, architectures, integrations and scalability

End?to?end project and program management skills, managing scope, timelines, risks and cross?functional dependencies

Process re?engineering and problem?solving mindset, with ability to drive digitization and operational efficiency

Financial and commercial acumen, including budget ownership, ROI analysis and vendor commercial management
Collaborative, business?first attitude with strong stakeholder influencing skills, enabling alignment across functions and driving adoption

Experience leading end?to?end e?commerce or omnichannel transformation programs

Exposure to Agile delivery models and product?oriented ways of working

Experience collaborating with global SaaS vendors and Indian system integrators
Familiarity with data, analytics, personalization, and automation use cases
