As a Field Sales Officer, you will be responsible for visiting retailers, distributors,
supermarkets, chemists, cosmetic stores, and general trade outlets to increase product
visibility, drive sales, collect market feedback, and strengthen channel relationships.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy field sales, relationship building, market visits,
and retail execution within the FMCG and personal care industry.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Market Visits
- Conduct daily visits to retail outlets, supermarkets, cosmetic stores, chemists, and general trade stores.
- Ensure product availability and visibility at retail counters.
- Build strong relationships with retailers and store owners.
- Generate new retail opportunities within assigned territories.
Distributor Coordination
- Coordinate with distributors to ensure stock availability and timely replenishment.
- Monitor distributor performance and secondary sales.
- Support distributors in retailer onboarding and order generation.
- Resolve market-level operational issues.
Sales & Market Development
- Achieve assigned sales and outlet coverage targets.
- Drive product placements and increase shelf visibility.
- Support promotional activities and in-store initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for expanding distribution reach.
Market Intelligence & Feedback
- Collect retailer and distributor feedback on products, pricing, and competition.
- Track competitor activities, promotions, and new product launches.
- Share market insights with internal teams.
- Monitor consumer preferences and emerging trends.
Merchandising & Visibility
- Ensure proper product display and shelf placement.
- Verify availability of POSM and promotional materials.
- Improve in-store visibility to maximize product movement.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit daily visit reports and sales updates.
- Maintain retailer and distributor databases.
- Track order status and market execution activities.
- Provide regular feedback to reporting managers.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 year of experience in FMCG, personal care, hygiene, skincare, or
- consumer goods sales.
- Good understanding of General Trade (GT) sales operations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned territories.
- Basic knowledge of retail distribution networks.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with mobile reporting and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
