We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our post-production team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of wedding storytelling, pacing, emotion, music synchronization, and cinematic editing techniques.
As a Video Editor at Chapter 73, you will transform raw wedding footage into compelling films that reflect our signature style and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit wedding films, highlights, teasers, and documentary edits using company-defined workflows and quality standards.
- Review and organize footage from multiple camera sources.
- Create emotionally engaging narratives from wedding day footage.
- Synchronize multi-camera footage and audio recordings.
- Select and integrate music that complements the story and mood of the film.
- Perform color correction and basic color grading to maintain visual consistency.
- Enhance audio quality through noise reduction, balancing, and mixing.
- Ensure all deliverables meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cinematographers, project managers, and creative leads to maintain brand consistency.
- Manage project files, backups, and editing assets efficiently.
- Implement feedback and revisions accurately within turnaround timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience (wedding editing experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Good understanding of Adobe After Effects for basic motion graphics and titles.
- Experience with Adobe Audition or equivalent audio editing tools.
- Knowledge of color correction and grading workflows.
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and emotional sequencing.
- Ability to work with multi-camera timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and file organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience editing luxury or destination weddings.
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve workflows.
- Experience working with 4K and high-resolution footage.
- Understanding of wedding traditions and event timelines.
- Experience editing films for international clients.
